Insight of CARING

Carolyn Foat and I coauthored Once Upon a Mind published by Kansas State University. Each picture book Carolyn and I selected was accompanied by its key ideas and activities to use with children. Librarians across Kansas used the resource with parents. I conducted several Regional Library System workshops to support the approach. From Wonder to Wisdom was the next step up for me with its focus on key themes found in picture books. The cover design for Once Upon a Mind was published by Kansas State University and its cover designer won a national award for his graphic design.
